Born in Uganda, Sekweyama Dan Godfrey, popularly known as Sedan
on the art scenes, schooled at the Aga Khan High School, Uganda
where he did his High School Certificate in 1987. He later joined
Makerere University, School of Industrial and fine art, and was
trained in ceramic, graphic and sculpting.
As a freelance artist working on wood, metal, clay and cement
and adorning them with brass, beads, shells and Dan Sekweyama
other materials, Sedan's works are irresistibly marvelous. The
type of works he produces are unique in style and promising. This
style and creativity saw him win the 1st prize in 1995 as a co-designer
of Uganda's constitutional monument.
He has participated in several exhibitions both at home and internationally.
Sedan has just started his long journey to join other international
renowned artists.
